Art statements should include clear language and good statements by artist about their work.
Art statements help to understand relationship between artist and their art works.
In the context of art statements, artists should mention that Artists’ background, what he is going to do in the future, what he wants to do, what is his work.
Write in your writing voice
Intention is very important part of art statements.
Art statements are visual picture and conceptual picture of your work.
Not so much emotionally
More important thing is why you do it intentionally.
Even though it is not formula, art statements is starting with general statement about body of your work.
For example, we should think about what is your work about as body of art work, generally? And then we think about, specifically. How you do that? How you make it? What is it you make it? Why you make it?
It is kind of general outline.
Example: Catherine’s art statements.
Her art statements are really works well in order as she mentioned above.
Art statements is key to the door of business world in art and design
* Basic concept of art statements
Find basic visual and conceptual picture about your body work.
It is so difficult and takes so long time. But it helps to do this process and find it out.
For example,
What is conceptually you are doing?
What is image what you are doing?
Not so much biography
It is kind of Construction of what concept is and what material and method are? Or Why are you doing that?
We can choose Formal or informal style.
We can find Informal style more naturally and organically.
Most important thing is that write in your own voice
Biographical material is not essential.
What did you get here? It is relevant as a way of showing what you are doing now and what the body of work is.
You need to condense it.
“what is formal things to do to communicate what content”
Some context of your field
Art statement should include famous artist and why they are related you.
It is best way to quote yourself.
