I am a person with great desire who is always wants to do many things and never passes on new things. This personality trait led me to have interests in other areas besides my major, chemical engineering. Moreover, my inquisitive nature offered me endless questions and motivation about research and this passion led me to enroll in graduate school.
During my university life, I was fascinated by traditional architectural style by exploring Korean cultural locations as an extracurricular activity. I gained the lesson that architecture is not against nature rather than it assimilates into it through extracurricular activity. In addition, I was able to feel the marvelous way in which Koreans’ unique and practical use of space harmonized with nature. This gave me the motivation to pursue my interest in space design.
I would like to create new space images by combining Western practical designs with Korean traditional designs that emphasize natural harmony. In other words, I would like to create designs that can break the boundaries of nature and inner space and have practical utility.
Sang's feedback
Interesting, but too short.
Add more remembering what we discussed in class.
Be more reader-friendly..: how can you emphasize "natural harmony" how can you break the boundaries between nature and inner space?
